Well, it's been a verrrrry look time since I've written anything.

Things have been great.  I enjoy my classes.  I don't spend all my life in class and studying so I have time to see my friends more and I'm not as stressed out anymore like I used to be a year ago.

I went to Monster Jam on January 13th and it was crazy! I loved it...I'm such a redneck sometimes.  (I guess that's what happens when you're from a town that has them).  It was loud and the trucks were smashing things and it was exciting.  I can't wait to go next year.  I think Blue Thunder is my favorite...cause my favorite color is blue and I like thunderstorms too, lol.

I went to the Georgia Aquarium yesterday with my amazing boyfriend who took me there for our 1 year anniversary.  He is great and I had so much fun there!  If you ever get a chance to go you really should.  It's 10 times better than the one in Chattanooga and all the different sections are really beautiful.  Plus, they have an underwater tunnel where you can stand on a moving sidewalk and it takes you through and you can just stand there and stare up at all the fish.  And...there are several places where you can touch stuff, like stingrays and little sharks.  It's really cool.  I was surprised how crowded it was for a Sunday afternoon.  I want to go back when it's not as crowded and take lots and lots more pictures.

Anyway, I don't have much else to say so I hope everyone has a great week!

Things are moving along well in all my classes.  I'm about to go to an Anatomy study session for lab.  I'm not drowning like I was last year but I can still feel the pressure of all the things I have to get done.  This month is going to be CRAZY!! With all my classes I need to stay caught up in and all the Rush events I won't have a spare moment for a while.  But I am SO excited about Rush this year...I can't wait to see all the amazing girls who could be part of our sorority.

Oh yeah...and is anyone else COMPLETELY creeped out by the new facebook?  I mean if that's not boarder-line stalking...then what is?  I WANT OLD NON-CREEPY FACEBOOK BACK!!

School has started back and I thought I was very prepared to deal with anything that came my way…well I was wrong.  I guess that everything can’t be perfect but I also know I wasn’t expecting this year to start like this…it’s all so surreal.

I can’t wait to go to a full week of all my classes and see what they’ll be like.  I’m hoping that this year will be much different than last year and I can make the grades that I want and need.

I miss Matt like crazy.  He’s one person in my life who can make everything else fade away when I’m with him…he’s wonderful.

I’m so excited to see all my friends again…and I am so blessed to have some of the most amazing friends in the world.  I’m very lucky.  Have a great week everyone!!

I’ve been inspired to write an actual entry…I’m sure you’re very excited, lol.

So I’ve been rather busy lately with a lot of stuff to do and accomplish before school starts again.  I had my wisdom teeth hacked out a week ago and while I was absolutely terrified, it wasn’t too bad of an experience.  I must say that Valium is a lovely drug and I’m very happy that it could accompany me on my extraction voyage.

I’m definitely returning to Shorter in the fall.  There was a time this summer when I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to go back because of my…um…lack of funds.  I lost my scholarship and HOPE in the whirlwind that was last year and while I was utterly devastated, I am much better now.  After 3 mental breakdowns and several sleepless nights studying last year…I needed a break badly.  BUT, I am returning to Shorter with a completely different mindset then last year.  So many of my priorities have shifted, including my major.  I am switching to a Psychology major with a Biology minor.  It was one of the hardest decisions of my life for so many reasons.  I decided I wanted to be pre-med for completely the wrong reasons.  But even so, I fell in love with some of my professors and classmates and knowing I won’t get to take classes with them again is actually really sad for me.  But now I know what I’m going for is right and I’m at peace with it.

I was heartbroken when I thought I wouldn’t be able to go to Shorter.  I have so many AMAZING friends who may not know it, but they mean the world to me.  I am so lucky to have met so many great people and be able to have them in my life.

Speaking of amazing people…I LOVE my boyfriend.  Have you ever loved someone so much that you want to cry?  That would be me…but I am a girl so the crying thing may not be unusual depending on who you ask.  I spent the past 2 days with him and it’s hard for me to describe how I feel about him in simple words.  It’s almost like when I’m with him, for that amount of time (however long it may be) everything is right in the world.  But then when I’m not with him I feel like a part of me is missing.  I’m not saying I’m wallowing in depression, lol, that’s crazy.  I guess he just completes my heart.  Yes, simple enough.

Anyway, there’s a real entry for those people who still read their xanga entries and such like I do on a regular basis.  Have a great week everyone!

I get this email of jokes every once and a while and the one I received recently caught my eye.  It is things (mainly politicians) people have really said.  I noticed a common person throughout the email, Dan Quayle, and thought I should share with everyone the scary realization of what kind of people are put into positions of power in our country.

"I was recently on a tour of Latin America, and the only regret I have was that I didn't study Latin harder in school so I could converse with those people" -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle

"The loss of life will be irreplaceable." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle on the San Francisco earthquake

"When I have been asked during these last weeks who caused the riots and the killing in L.A., my answer has been direct and simple: Who is to blame for the riots? The rioters are to blame. Who is to blame for the killings? The killers are to blame." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle on the complex social issues behind the Los Angeles Riots

"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child. " --Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle on Republican family values

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle

"What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle at a fundraising event for the United Negro College Fund. He was attempting to quote the line "a mind is a terrible thing to waste"

"I love California. I practically grew up in Phoenix." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle

"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made." -- Former U.S. Vice-President Dan Quayle

Not Dan Quayle…but still funny….

"That lowdown scoundrel deserves to be kicked to death by a jackass, and I'm just the one to do it." -- A congressional candidate in Texas

"When more and more people are thrown out of work, unemployment results." -- Former U.S. President Calvin Coolidge
